Married for 65 years, Annette and Gary Dickson narrowly escaped the devastating July 4 floodwaters that rushed through their Rio Robles home in the middle of the night.
Today, thanks to the support of the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, generous donors, and Habitat for Humanity Kerr County’s repair program, they are finally back home.
Their story is one of resilience, faith, community, and the extraordinary kindness shown by neighbors, volunteers, subcontractors, and partners throughout their journey to recovery.
