What can I donate?
The ReStore sells building materials and household goods. The majority of all merchandise is donated. Click on each category to learn more about what we sell and accept.
Appliances
Appliances
We accept all appliances in working condition.
Cabinets
Cabinets
We will take cabinets and hardware such as doors, drawers, shelving, display racks, etc
Doors
Doors
Doors must be in good condition. No holes, cracks, rot, etc. All types accepted.
Electrical
Electrical
Fixtures, parts, wire, plugs, plates and the hardware associated with electrical wiring are accepted.
Fans
Fans
Ceiling and floor fans must be complete and in working condition.
Flooring Material
Flooring Material
We will accept new vinyl flooring and tile if there is enough being donated for a floor or wall. We do not accept carpet.
Furniture

All furniture should be cleaned before pickup and free of any tears or other damage.
Hardware

We accept almost all types of hardware: knobs, hinges, locks, etc. if not rusty. Any quantity of nails, screws, connectors, etc

We accept all light fixtures in working condition. No ballasts with PCB’s

We accept full and half sheets of plywood, full lengths of lumber, trim in smaller pieces (but no less than 4 ft long). Free of rot, nails and screws.

We accept ull containers of latex paint and stain purchased from a paint store. No leftovers are allowed. We cannot take toxic, hazardous substances (i.e. pesticides, powders, paint thinners). Wallpaper is taken in full, unopened rolls.

Plumbing fixtures must be clean and in good condition. Toilets must be clean and in working order.

We accept all types of roofing material such as rolled roofing material, tar, metal roofing, bundles of new shingles. We also accept roofing gutter/canale materials that are in full pieces and are not rusty, bent up or damaged

We accept windows of all types if the glass is intact. Most windows will show use, even if they are newer. If they are casement type, we appreciate having the hardware and cranks
What is the ReStore?
The Habitat for Humanity Kerr County ReStore is a non-profit home improvement store and donation center. The ReStore sells new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, appliances, flooring, cabinetry and more at a fraction of the retail price. Profits generated from the ReStore support Habitat Kerr County’s mission of providing decent, affordable housing in Kerr County. Habitat for Humanity Kerr County also tithes ten percent of ReStore profits to Habitat for Humanity International. This, in turn, builds homes across the globe in support of Habitat’s vision of a World where everyone has a decent place to live.
Why should I donate?
Donating materials to the ReStore supports the mission of affordable home-ownership in Kerr County. Your donation is used to fund new homes and enrich lives here in our community. You are also helping the environment. The donated materials are recycled and repurposed. This prevents needless waste from going into our landfill.
