The Mariposa Community
Mariposa will feature 44 thoughtfully designed, attainable homes, offering stability and opportunity to 44 families. This unique development reflects our commitment to addressing the affordable housing crisis in Kerrville, particularly for the growing workforce that drives our community forward.
In addition to our traditional program for families with very low incomes, Mariposa introduces the “Habitat 2.0” housing program. This program fills a critical gap, serving families who earn too much to qualify for housing subsidies but cannot afford market-rate homes.
Designed for essential workers—hospitality staff, service industry employees, paraprofessionals, nurse aides, and office assistants—this initiative supports the backbone of our local economy by providing the opportunity for stable homeownership.
Progress Update:
Exciting progress continues at the Mariposa community!
Since breaking ground in October, we’ve completed mass grading, cut detention, installed utilities and water lines—and now, the roads are officially paved. With infrastructure nearly complete, Mariposa is one step closer to becoming home for 44 families in Kerr County.
We’re thrilled to see this development take shape and move closer to the construction phase. Stay tuned for more updates as we work toward building this vibrant, affordable community!
