Words cannot express how grateful we are to have KPUB here as part of the Habitat for Humanity team. Habitat Kerr County is in the process of preparing our 114th, 115th, and 116th house for the future homeowners in the class of 2020-2021. KPUB’s hard work and dedication are important because it is well known that every day, more and more families find themselves in a struggle to keep a decent roof over their heads. As home prices- for rental and ownership - continue to outpace wage growth, families often find themselves struggling in other major areas of their lives as well. Basic needs such as nutrition, education, transportation, child care, and health care are difficult to afford. Households that find themselves in these situations many times must go without some basic needs and are simply not able to put money aside to prepare for any unexpected life events. KPUB’s volunteers come back year after to year to help Habitat build homes. We are humbly grateful for their tireless support as we continue building in Kerrville.
