Habitat is very grateful to the Christ Church Presbyterian members who volunteered their Saturday to come out and help build houses. Volunteer service is the foundation that allows Habitat for Humanity to continue serving the Kerr County community. Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope with a “hand up, not a hand out” model of service. With a little help, Habitat homeowners are able to achieve the strength and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves and their families. Having a decent, affordable place to live can create a situation where homeowners save more, invest in education, pursue opportunity and have more financial stability.
