Since breaking ground in October, significant progress has been made at the Mariposa community. Mass grading is complete, detention is cut, roads are shaped, and utility installation is underway. These developments bring us closer to building strength, stability, and self-reliance for the families of Kerr County.
The Mariposa Community
The Mariposa Community is a unique, thoughtfully designed development aimed at supporting the growing workforce in Kerr County. The community will feature 44 attainable homes, including traditional Habitat homes and affordable workforce housing for essential workers like nurse aides, teachers, and hospitality staff who are often priced out of the housing market.
